This 14-unit building offers support to low-income working families and individuals. In a co-operative housing community, the members pool their resources to provide goods and services they would not be able to access on their own. With participation from all members, they manage all aspects of the project, including setting budgets, making policy, establishing bylaws and monthly fees.
The building also contains a large community facility, the Common House, which provides a social/meeting area complete with a kitchen and recreational spaces for both children and adults. The adults in the family are individuals who are working, entering the work force or engaged in an education or training program.
